MEET CARRIE MOORE
Carrie Moore is a lifelong Texan, public servant, and proven child advocate who has spent her career standing up for students, parents, and the integrity of Texas education. Raised in Carrollton, Texas, Carrie attended public schools and Ursuline Academy before continuing her education at Southwest Texas State University. While in college, she worked with Hays County Law Enforcement as a corrections officer and graduated from the police academy in 1999—early experience that shaped her lifelong commitment to public safety, accountability, and service.
Carrie married her late husband, Dr. Michael E. Moore, and together they raised two children. Following his passing, she relocated to Corpus Christi, where she worked directly with students as a health coordinator, physical education teacher, and coach. In 2016, Carrie remarried and blended her family into a household of six. Today, her children attend Texas A&M University and Texas State University—giving her a deeply personal understanding of the full K–12 to higher education journey.
For more than five years, Carrie has been on the front lines of child advocacy and education policy across Texas. She has worked tirelessly to protect children, empower parents, and demand transparency and accountability from government schools. Carrie has testified multiple times before the Texas Legislature on issues of parental rights, child safety, and election integrity, working alongside statewide organizations including Moms for Liberty, Texas 911, and Citizens Defending Freedom.
Her advocacy has produced real results. Carrie successfully worked with the Texas Legislature to remove government school immunity that protected abusers of children, helped modify the Texas Family Code to require schools to report juvenile abuse directly to law enforcement, and supported legislation requiring school boards to have at least one member trained in parental rights. She has also taken direct action at the local level—reviewing and removing pornographic materials from school libraries and holding school boards accountable by publicly reading inappropriate content into the record.
Carrie is the founder of the first Moms for Liberty chapter in Texas and has coordinated with numerous statewide organizations to educate and mobilize parents. Her leadership has been recognized nationally with the Sybil Ludington Award, honoring her work in promoting community awareness and civic engagement.
In addition to her advocacy work, Carrie has served as a Nueces County Precinct Chair, Nueces County Republican Party Resolution Committee Chair for the Republican Party of Texas State Convention, District Director for the Texas Federation of Republican Women, voter registrar, volunteer notary for the Nueces County GOP, voting clerk, and voting judge. She was part of the original group that formed Nueces County’s Election Integrity Project and testified before the Texas Legislature on its behalf. She is also a member of the Nueces County GOP Toastmasters group.
Professionally, Carrie has served as a field representative for a U.S. Congressman, working on constituent services and federal policy—including efforts toward establishing a national misconduct database for schools, churches, and youth organizations.
Guided by faith, conviction, and a deep love for Texas children, Carrie stepped away from her congressional role to run for Texas State Board of Education, District 2—because she believes serving students and parents matters more than any title or paycheck. Carrie Moore is running to restore transparency, protect children, empower parents, and ensure Texas education reflects truth, safety, and excellence.
